Heirloom [2020 album]
The wait is over: After six years, Crissi returns with the long-awaited album HEIRLOOM.
Released February 29, 2020, Heirloom is Crissi’s largest production to date, with the talents of 14 musicians, supporting her silky vocals with a solid rhythm section and a small orchestra. Mixed by Juno-nominated engineer Brandon Unis (Karl Wolf, Nuela Charles), this lush oeuvre feels almost like a throwback album, relying on very little digital instruments in favour of a more Motown feel - yet Crissi's bold, fearless lyrics are unapologetically modern: from dissecting unfulfilling relationships in "Hungry Love", to demanding respect in "Like A Lady", to banishing toxic influences in "Get Out".
Produced by husband Michael Hargreaves (The Walkervilles, Michou, The Family Soul), Heirloom combines Crissi's polished and nuanced songwriting with Michael's pop sensibility - a harmonious marriage of mood, music, and meaning.
