Tickets on sale now for Heirloom Release Party
Crissi Cochrane
On a frigid and grey February morning last year, I followed Tom Lucier up the long stairs to behold his latest musical contribution to downtown Windsor - the venue that would become Meteor.
I knew, from that first visit, that this was the space where I wanted to hold my album release party. So, it is with great pleasure that I am announcing today that we’ll be celebrating the release of Heirloom with a special show on February 29, 2020.
Tickets are officially on sale today through Eventbrite. You can snap them up for $12 while they last, or take your chances at the door, where remaining tickets will be $15.
As we neared the end of production, we realized that Heirloom was going to be difficult to pull off live. Aside from the fact that the album includes a whopping 14 performers - far more than can fit on most stages - there are a number of logistical issues; for example, Sebastian Bachmeier sometimes plays as many as 4 different instruments on one track, but there is only one of him.. We’ll have fewer people, and the arrangements will be a bit simplified, but I’ll still be sharing the stage with the biggest band I’ve ever played with to date.
I’ll have CD copies of the new album available at the show for $15 each. There will be a vinyl pressing of Heirloom, but it won’t be available at the show - they’ll be available by pre-order only. Stay tuned for more info!
