New Collaboration: Cheap String Lights
Crissi Cochrane
My dear friend, the supremely talented singer-songwriter Brendan Scott Friel has released his latest single “Cheap String Lights” today, and I am thrilled to be the featured artist on the track!
This beautiful, dreamy, romantic song captures so much of the magic of late summer nights. It’s the first single from his upcoming album Summer Moons, and was produced this past fall in Toronto at Union Sound Company, with producer James Bunton.
“Cheap String Lights” is a delicious first taste of what’s to come on the full album. I’ve had the pleasure of listening to it in its entirety, and I can divulge that Summer Moons is a pure work of art, pushing the boundaries of modern folk into new and inspiring places, with Brendan’s expert songwriting shining a light on lovely and haunting stories. I cannot wait for the world to hear this album, and I’m so honoured to have played a little part in it.
You can find “Cheap String Lights” on all major music platforms as of today. Enjoy, and please be sure to like, share, comment, add it to your own playlists, etc etc etc., and follow Brendan on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube!
