I’m especially in love with the hi-fi and lo-fi contrasts in ‘Shadows’ - the way Brendan’s vocal sounds filtered and dreamy, but his guitar sounds so present and hi-fi. The only time you hear a hi-fi vocal is in the chorus hook, which makes it so much more impactful.
